French seam:
This type of seam is ideal for lightweight fabrics such as organza, chiffon and other sheer fabrics.
1) Place wrong sides of fabric together and straight stitch ¼-inch from the raw edge.
2) Fold fabric right sides together, enclosing the ¼-inch seam, press flat.
3) Straight stitch 3/8-inch from folded edge.
4) Press seam flat.
