I am a handbag designer from Los Angeles CA, I was born in Brazil and worked with fashion since 15 years old, I moved to California after the second trip here for a skateboarding contest. I started Costella handbags in 2006, but because I was a little busy with my family (kids and husband) I slowed down and just now in 2011 I started the line again. I'm still finding my influences and what works for me and the line, the bags are made local in downtown LA and I am a one man show making my own marketing and sales, etc. Never gave up or will give up doing this, I love it.

I use materials that have a pop color or a fun texture, that inspires me to create a bag and make the design with the hardware. I only use gold hardware from Italy. I also use skateboarding pants to make the recycled jean bag. I love accessories and handbags always was something I was curious. I love bags and thought I could bring something different to the fashion table.

My line is made in Los Angeles, and it's very hard now days to find garments that are made in the US, everyone is making things in China and I am proud to be producing here in America and helping the economy. My line is different and young and it can be worn dressed up or dressed down.

The greatest achievement is to hear that people like my creation, I get very happy and proud to see people wearing it. All the money and time spent is worth when you love what you do.
