| Sewing has been part of my life from a very young age,
learning from my grandmother who was a professional seamstress. The creation of
the AbbyRoo came from the inspiration to create a multi-function bag with easy
access for packing. The response to this unique bag has been exciting and
customers are requesting the same bag in a smaller version which is in the works
along with a wristlet with the same features.
Presently the AbbyRoo bag is made out of cotton/canvas for durability. Unzipping
the two full length front vertical zippers expose the eight mesh compartments
for easy packing and visibility. The 17" x 15" style tote bag, large back pocket
and the unique addition of the mesh compartments is just about perfect for just
about every need, just about everyday.
My daughter Abby is on her college dance team and was getting ready for a dance
competition last year. While packing the various sized items into her caboodle
(the standard plastic case) she mentioned there has to be a better way! The
AbbyRoo can hold all of her dance needs from nylons, dance shoes, earrings,
contacts, make-up, and uniforms all easy to pack and carry either across your
body or on your shoulder. The construction of my bag is what I believe is the
best feature, not only fashionable, but practical. It fits our lives--handbag,
travel bag, beach bag, dance bag, cheer bag, book bag, laptop bag, diaper bag,
market bag or as a sports bag.
Luckily I do not have a nightmare story and I contribute that to the experience
I have in other ventures. My advice is summed up with the phrase, "Never take
anything for granted and be specific about every detail." My greatest
achievement is doing something I love and hearing the positive reaction about my
bag. Also, making life easier when women reach into their bags in search of the
never-to-be-located critical items. In the near future the AbbyRoo will also be
available in print fabrics along with the AbbyRoo wristlet!
